Before Procedure Care

All Treatments

• Do not wear makeup.
• Please avoid taking blood thinning medications (asprin) or fish or krill oils 7 days before procedure.
• Please exfoliate by brushing your lips gently with a toothbrush 1 day prior to the appointment. This will also stimulate blood flow and improve collagen in the lips. The aim is to improve recovery from any side effects of your Treatment.
• Do not consume alcohol or coffee 24 hours prior to your procedure.

Lip Treatment

One to two weeks before Lip Treatment

• If you are having any Lip Tattoo procedures performed and have previously suffered from Cold Sores or Mouth Ulcers it is essential that you consult with your GP prior to treatment. Lip Tattoo treatment may aggravate this condition and cause an outbreak. Your GP must provide you with a script for Anti –Viral Medication (this may include Valtrex, Famvir or Zovirax) which is to be taken prior to you appointment. L-Lysine tablets will also be beneficial as a preventive treatment.

Eyeliner Or Eyebrow Treatment

Forty eight hours before tattoo procedure (eyeliner and eyebrows)

• Please do not tint your eyelashes or eyebrows prior to an eyebrow or eyeliner tattoo procedure.
• Do not undergo treatment if you are suffering from eye irritation or infection
• Do not tweeze, wax, tint at least 3 days prior to treatment.
• Do not wear mascara or eyelash extensions
• Do not drink alcohol or caffeine 24 hours prior to the procedure.
• Facials, peels or laser treatments on area to be treated for 4 weeks prior the procedure.
• Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, Ibuprofen, Omega 3 or fish oil 3 days prior to the procedure
• Do not tan or have a sunburned face.

On The Day Of Your Procedure (Eyeliner And Brows)

• Please do not wear contact lenses or makeup of any kind.

After Procedure Care

All Treatment

Post – procedure instructions & information

• Avoid important social plans or strenuous activity for a few days after treatment.
• Please do not go swimming for at least 10 days following treatment.
• Do not wear makeup for one week following treatments as this may affect tattoo pigment.
• Only use the after care cream provided or recommended by your therapist.
• Do not have laser or peels facial treatments until cosmetic tattoo site has finished healing.
• If the area is temporary swelling, redness and itching may occur. Experience tells us that these symptoms are temporary use an ice pack for no more than 5 mins at a time.
• Colours will appear darker and then soften after a few days.
• The final look of your eyebrows will be apparent 30 days after your procedure
• Use aftercare cream in a thin film 3-4 times a day or whenever area is dry use for 7 days.
• Do not use paw paw cream on any tattoo areas.
• If you suffer from any allergies, advise your therapist. Some clients can be allergic to the pigment that is placed in their skin and a patch test will be required.
• Please re-book for your perfection visit in 4-6 weeks time.

Eyeliner Or Eyebrow Treatment

• Do not wear contact lenses for two (2) days following treatment.
• Do not have an eyebrow or eyelash tint for two (2)weeks following treatment.
• no water, cleanser, cream, make up foundation, fake eyelashes or any other products on treated area to prevent possible infection or allergic reactions
• Please wash your face carefully around the eyebrows without getting water on the treated area. During a shower, keep your face away from shower head or take a bath
• Please buy new mascara/eyeliner to prevent cross infection.
• Do not peel, rub or scratch the treated area in order to avoid scarring of the area or removal of the pigment. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off
• a thin layer of aftercare cream should be applied. repeat this procedure 4 times during the day.
• Do not have laser or facial treatments until cosmetic tattoo site has finished healing.
• Avoice Workouts that involve a lot of sweating, Rest eyes immediately after treatment

After Care Information For Lip Tattooing

Here’s what you can expect after getting a tattoo for lips:

• Immediately after the treatment, your lips will be slightly swollen and tender. Colours will appear darker and then soften after a few days.
• the first 2 days after the treatment : Lips should be wiped with moistened cotton pad every couple hours, DO NOT APPLY any creams or lip balm at this time
• In the first week Do not peel, rub or scratch the treated area Let your lips naturally exfoliate off
• Alow up to 7 days before applying any makeup on the treated area
• From day 3 to day 7: Lips should be wiped with moistened cotton pad, allow to air dry and a thin layer of after care cream applied 3 or 4 times a day
• in the first 3 weeks after healing, only use no color lip balm, avoid using dark color lipstick
• If you have ever had a cold sore, even only one in your life, you will more than likely breakout. Lysine tablets 3-5 days prior and after treatment are recommended. Zovirax cream can also be used.
• Please do not be worried if you lose colour after getting tattoo lips permanent makeup, as you can lose up to 60% the first time. Avoid direct sun exposure to the lipstick
